Bible Genres

Episode 141

Bible Genres

with Andy Judd

Socials Hero (2)

With 66 different books composed across literally thousands of years, it’s fair to say the Bible is a complex read.

But it doesn’t have to be.

The key to understanding the Bible is understanding the different literary genres.

Meet our guest

The Reverend Dr Andy Judd is a scholar and theologian, currently teaching Old Testament, Hermeneutics, and Biblical Theology at Ridley College, in Melbourne, Australia.

He’s an expert on genre theory and has just published a book on the subject: Modern Genre Theory: An Introduction for Biblical Studies.
