Our Guests

Peter Harrison

Sarah Sweet

Dr Sarah Sweet is a Senior Lecturer in Astrophysics & ARC Discovery Early Career Research Fellow at the University of Queensland. Her research interests are in the formation and evolution of galaxies, investigating how the fundamental properties of galaxies affect their transition from the diverse, irregular shapes in the distant, long-ago Universe, to the grand-design spirals and puffy elliptical galaxies in the nearby, present-day Universe.

Luke Barnes

Dr Luke Barnes is a Senior Lecturer in astronomy and cosmology at Western Sydney University. The focus of his research has been the cosmic evolution of matter, and he has published papers in the field of galaxy formation and evolution, and on the fine-tuning of the universe for life. He completed his PhD at the University of Cambridge and is the author of A Fortunate Universe: Life in a Finely Tuned Cosmos with Geraint Lewis and The Cosmic Revolutionary’s Handbook (Or: How to Beat the Big Bang) published by Cambridge University Press.
